Story Reef treats children's and parents' data with care. Below we explain how we handle a child's photo if you choose to upload one, and what rights you have. Uploading a photo is entirely optional — a tale can be created without it.

To create the hero's visual image and improve the likeness of the illustrations. The photo does not become a separate element of the book and is not shown in the tale as a photograph.
A photo is not required to place an order. The hero can be described entirely in words.
Only the technical illustration-generation system and, where necessary, the support team or editor — solely to fulfil your order.
The photo is kept only as long as needed to create and check the tale, and is deleted once generation is complete. We do not keep the original photo beyond that.
The user can request deletion of the photo and related data at any time.
To request deletion, write to info@storyreef.company and include your order number or the email the tale was ordered with.
A child's photo is not used in advertising, example works, social media or a portfolio without separate explicit consent.
To generate the illustrations, Story Reef uses technical services (including third-party AI and cloud services). The photo may be processed by these services as part of creating the illustrations, but is not used by them to advertise Story Reef.
Payment for an order is taken by Link, a Stripe payment service that acts as the merchant of record. You enter your card and billing details on Link's checkout page; Link processes them under its own privacy policy, and we do not see or store them. From Stripe we receive only what we need to fulfil and account for the order: that it has been paid or refunded, the amount and the tax.
